Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System’s Sleep Disorder Clinic seeks a qualified technologist to oversee PSG, MSLT, and CPAP testing, ensuring accurate analysis for physician interpretation. You will prepare, apply, and remove test equipment and participate in quality analysis of results.

You must have a high school diploma, be a registered polysomnograph technologist or RRT, and have at least one year of sleep center or respiratory therapy experience with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Registered Polysomnograph Technologist or RRT. If RRT, must be enrolled in or have completed the A-Step Online Self-Study Modules.
• One-year experience in sleep center or respiratory therapy.
• BLS required.
• Ability to read, write and explain moderately complex information to hospital staff and patients – Attention to detail.
• Displays solid interpersonal communication skills to include: written, verbal and telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Works independently performing PSG and other studies.
• Keeps equipment in proper working order and reports problems to management.
• Selects recording montages and obtains high quality recordings.
• Assesses patient status before, during, and after testing and communicates with team.
• Operates all equipment in an optimal manner.
• Attends to patient needs to meet expectations.
• Identifies and completes additional projects as assigned.
