Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, operate and clean EEG equipment.
  • Handle changes in priorities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Assist with customer service and direct concerns appropriately.
  • Cross-train in other areas to improve operations.
  • Order supplies when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview of Position:

Responsible for providing EEG Testing on Outpatient and Inpatients per physician order. Responsible for routing EEG’s to appropriate physician to read upon completion of test.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Conducts EEG procedures including positioning patient, proper lead placement, troubleshooting artifact and adjustment of voltage.
  • Conducts adequate wave form acquisition, transmission, analysis interpretation and storage.
  • Works collaboratively with department assistant by assisting with clerical support as needed.
  • Ensures that patients receive proper Instruction and collects necessary patient information/demographics.
  • Accurately sets up, operates, calibrates and cleans equipment.
  • Is flexible in handling changes in work priorities and handles multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Assists with customer service issues by collecting applicable information and directing concerns appropriately.
  • Cross trains in other areas to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Orders supplies when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school graduate or equivalency required.
