Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency required.
• One-year experience in allied health field preferred.
• CPR certification, or obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to read, write and explain or describe information to patients/customers and hospital staff.
• Must demonstrate attention to detail and be self-directed.
• Must demonstrate effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG procedures with proper patient positioning and lead placement.
• Acquire, transmit, analyze, interpret and store EEG waveforms.
• Collaborate with department staff for clerical support as needed.
• Provide patient instructions and collect demographic information.
• Set up, calibrate, operate and clean EEG equipment.
• Handle changes in priorities and manage multiple tasks.
• Assist with customer service and direct concerns appropriately.
• Cross-train in other areas to improve operations.
• Order supplies when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
