Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking a Transport Services associate for the Evening Shift. The role transports patients and materials throughout the facility, using telemetry and EMR input where required. You will support safe patient handling, equipment delivery, and routine recordkeeping.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, English literacy, good interpersonal skills, and basic computer knowledge. Regular team collaboration and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must read and understand English and have basic arithmetic skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to assess situation needs and problem solve.
• Working knowledge of computer software programs (MS Office, Windows).

Responsibilities

• Transport patients between ER, nursing units, diagnostic areas and other hospital areas.
• Transport blood and specimens on STAT and routine bases.
• Move patients on portable telemetry equipment and monitor heart rhythms.
• Use Vocera and IVR for job assignments and completion.
• Clean and disinfect carts, stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Deliver patient equipment and supplies and manage paperwork.
• Enter patient information into the EMR system for each transport.
• Follow safety policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
