Job summary

MetLife Türkiye is seeking a Senior System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a scalable IT infrastructure supporting business operations. The role emphasizes high availability, resilience, and security across enterprise systems.

You will lead virtualization projects, manage Windows and Linux servers, and oversee disaster recovery plans, backups, and DR testing while collaborating with IT and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands-on virtualization experience (VMware/Hyper-V) to design and support enterprise environments.
• Proven Windows and Linux server administration expertise.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery solutions, data backup strategies, and data protection practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing optimization of virtualization infrastructure.
• Manage Windows and Linux server environments, including installation, config, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, including backup strategies, failover mechanisms, and DR testing.
• Monitor system performance, apply patches and updates, and ensure security/availability standards.
• Provide basic networking support: switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams for seamless integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure IT policy compliance.
• Support capacity planning and resource optimization to enhance performance.
