Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a Turkey-based team to hire a Software Engineer - Storage. You will build a high-performance object storage platform, spanning client libraries, servers, and edge infrastructure, contributing to open-source components and scalable deployments.

Expect deep involvement across analytics storage, asset optimization, and storage workflows. You will collaborate with frontend engineers and operate in a globally distributed, open-source-first environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend engineering experience with production Node.js.
• Experience designing and operating scalable distributed systems.
• Comfort across backend, infrastructure deployment, monitoring and scaling.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana for observability.
• Experience tuning performance and production troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Ownership mindset to drive projects end-to-end.
• Appreciation for developer experience and reliable tools.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, asynchronous globally distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Enhance storage capabilities and analytics storage, supporting open formats.
• Optimize asset delivery to improve speed for websites and apps.
• Expand edge infrastructure to accelerate uploads and enable cache invalidation.
• Improve storage server performance via monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Develop storage explorer with frontend collaboration for speed and UX.
• Improve APIs, client libraries, and CLI tools for seamless workflows.
• Improve upload/download reliability across clients and environments.
• Contribute to open source storage components and upstream projects.
• Resolve escalated issues and prevent recurrence with systemic fixes.
• Work across backend, deployment, monitoring, scaling, and operations.
• Own engineering initiatives from problem definition to delivery.
