Beko Corporate is seeking a Senior Specialist – R&D (Cooling Technologies) to join the Research and Development Directorate in Çayırova, İstanbul. You will lead projects on cooling system design, conduct experimental and numerical studies, and develop innovative thermal solutions for domestic refrigeration products.

The role requires a strong background in cooling, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics, with hands-on test design experience and proficiency in Python, C++, and Modelica tools.

Formación

• Master (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering (PhD candidate or PhD a plus).
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems, thermodynamics, heat & mass transfer, and fluid dynamics.
• Knowledge/experience in design and optimization of thermal systems such as cooling and heat pump systems.
• thermo-fluid transport phenomena and boundary layer theory.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in thermal systems engineering, cooling and/or heat pump systems.
• Strong hands-on experience in test matrix design, experimental setup execution, and data evaluation.
• Experience in Python, C++, and/or numerical tools such as Modelica Dymola, MATLAB, EES, Coildesigner.
• Desire to do both experimental and numerical R&D work.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and participate in cooling system design projects for domestic refrigerators/freezers and integrated features’ system design.
• Conduct experimental and numerical studies to analyze thermal system performance.
• Analyze results to develop cooling system and component designs.
• Develop alternative cooling system designs and new technology applications to improve thermal performance.
• Prepare test plans for systems and components such as compressors and heat exchangers.
• Perform thermodynamics and heat/mass transfer analyses related to cooling applications.
• Follow and develop related test standards.
• Improve digital skills to interpret results.
• Report, present, and share R&D outcomes across departments.

What awaits you in this role?

We are looking for a Senior Specialist – R&D (Cooling Technologies) who will work for Research and Development Directorate in Beko Corporate.

• Leading and participating in projects related to cooling system design, cooling performance, and energy efficiency of domestic refrigerators/freezers, and integrated features’ system design such as design of ice-making units in refrigerators,
• Conducting experimental and aligned numerical studies to investigate the thermal system characteristics and effects on the cooling performance of refrigeration systems, efficiency of their components and sub-systems,
• Analyzing experimental and numerical results to develop the related cooling system and components designs,
• Developing alternative cooling system designs, algorithms, and new technology applications to improve the thermal performance of the products, in association with the functional quality and energy efficiency, and having proper cooling under various cooling demands,
• Preparing test plans for both systems and components such as compressors and heat exchangers,
• Performing theoretical thermal analysis and engineering calculations on the thermodynamics and heat&mass transfer issues related to the cooling system applications,
• Following/learning and developing related test standards,
• Improving digital skills to interpret the experimental and numerical results,
• Reporting, presenting, and sharing R&D project outcomes across departments and functions.

The position is located in Çayırova, İstanbul.

How do we describe the perfect match?

• Master (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering (being a PhD candidate or having a PhD degree is a plus),
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems, thermodynamics, heat & mass transfer, and fluid dynamics,
• Knowledge and experience in the design and optimization of thermal systems such as cooling and heat pump systems,
• Knowledge and experience in thermo-fluid transport phenomena and boundary layer theory,
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in thermal systems engineering, cooling and/or heat pump systems,
• Strong hands-on experience in test matrix design, experimental setup execution, and data evaluation,
• Having experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or numerical engineering tools such as Modelica Dymola, MATLAB, EES, Coildesigner
• Having a desire to do both experimental and numerical R&D work in a continuously learning and developing manner,
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English,
• Thinking broadly about business,
