Job summary

SearchApi, a fast-growing real-time SERP API company, seeks a senior Ruby on Rails engineer to become the technical backbone of our product. You will own the hardest PRs and ship production code across the billing, API, dashboard, and enterprise features.

This is a hands-on, high-trust role with no management duties. You will work directly with the CEO/CTO, shape technical direction, mentor peers, and help us maintain security, performance, and quality as we scale globally.

Qualifications

• Extensive Rails experience and proven production deployments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database optimization.
• Experience with API design and services.
• Comfortable with front-end styling and TailwindCSS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own the hardest PRs and critical refactors.
• Review peers' PRs and mentor through code reviews.
• Develop enterprise features (SAML, SCIM, audit logs).
• Work on billing and payments integration with Stripe.
• Build and iterate on product features and developer experience.
• Optimize performance and memory usage across the stack.
