Job summary

SearchApi is seeking an infrastructure engineer to own the entire cloud stack, build and operate systems powering billions of requests, and improve observability across the platform. You will drive multi-region deployments, autoscaling, and cost optimization while mentoring peers in best practices.

This senior role requires strategic thinking, architecture skills, and strong English communication. Fully remote work is offered with equity and profit sharing as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience owning large-scale cloud infrastructure.
• Architect systems, not only maintain them.
• Mentor engineers on infra best practices.
• Strong Linux and container orchestration knowledge.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve observability across the stack: metrics, logging, alerts, dashboards.
• Architect and operate browser cloud infrastructure with autoscaling.
• Manage websocket, CDP tunnels, and TCP tuning for browser automation.
• Write and maintain Terraform for all infrastructure; everything is code.
• Tune autoscaling, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
• Expand to new regions as we grow.
• Experiment with Lambda and serverless for specific workloads.
• Debug production issues and build runbooks.
• Work daily with Linux, Dockerfiles, and container orchestration.
