This leadership position emphasizes collaboration, code quality, and sustainable engineering practices while maintaining approximately 4-5 hours per day. You will drive architectural decisions, promote AI-native development, and ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software experience.
• 6+ years of production Ruby on Rails experience.
• Experience leading/mentoring a small engineering team.
• Hands-on experience with AI-native development tools.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a strong engineering culture and collaboration standards.
• Set and uphold technical standards for quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Champion AI-native software development practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a small team of four developers.
• Guide architectural and technical decisions for scalable solutions.
• Review AI-assisted development workflows for quality and security.
• Define development processes and coding conventions for distributed teams.
• Foster knowledge sharing across countries and time zones.
• Collaborate with leadership to shape engineering culture and priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and AI tool adoption.
