Qualifications

• Significant experience in insurance or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products.
• Experience managing insurance programmes and claims.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Background in Non-Auto Elementary Insurance (Commercial & Industrial lines).
• English written and spoken.
• Male candidates: completion of military service.
• Degree in Banking/Insurance, Business Admin or Economics preferred.
• 2+ years with insurer or broker in technical or operational roles.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide specialist advice on insurance, risk exposure and policy requirements while ensuring the organisation maintains appropriate coverage, controls costs and remains protected against financial and operational risks. This role will work closely with senior management, brokers, insurers, legal teams and internal stakeholders to deliver effective insurance solutions.

• Develop and manage corporate insurance programmes and renewals
• Assess business activities and identify potential insurance exposures
• Lead negotiations with brokers, insurers and other external providers
• Review policy terms, conditions, exclusions and coverage requirements
• Manage claims from notification through to resolution
• Provide expert advice on insurance and risk-related matters
• Monitor premiums, deductibles, limits and overall insurance costs
• Ensure insurance documentation remains accurate and compliant
• Prepare management reports, risk assessments and insurance recommendations
• Support contract reviews and advise on insurance requirements
• Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insurers and key stakeholders
• Monitor changes in legislation, market conditions and insurance requirements

Requirements:

• Significant experience in insurance, risk management or a related field
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and policies
• Proven experience managing insurance programmes and claims
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Relevant insurance qualification such as CII is advantageous
• At least 2 years’ experience with an insurance company or broker, in technical or operational processes
• Background in Non-Auto Elementary Insurance, i.e. Commercial & Industrial lines. Motor or life insurance only won’t fit
• Experience with quote tendering, claims handling with loss adjusters, renewals, endorsements, and reviewing insurance and indemnity clauses in contracts
• Good written and spoken English
• Degree preferred in Banking/Insurance, Business Administration or Economics
• Male candidates must have completed military service
