Job summary

Aras Kargo is expanding its IT Infrastructure team and seeks a Senior System Specialist to join our System & Network group in Istanbul. You will design, implement, and manage on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid architectures ensuring high availability and security. The role requires deep Windows and Linux administration, virtualization, and IaC experience, with mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 8–10 years of hands-on system administration and infrastructure management.
• Advanced English proficiency in both reading and writing.
• Advanced expertise in Windows Server administration (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, CA, IIS).
• Solid Linux/Unix administration in RedHat, Debian, Oracle Linux Server with scripting and performance optimization.
• VMware vSphere/ESXi expertise.
• Hybrid or native cloud infrastructure management on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Storage knowledge SAN/NAS with NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, IBM.
• Veeam backup expertise.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
• Monitoring tools: SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Zabbix, Grafana/Prometheus.
• Networking: TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing, Load Balancers, Firewalls.
• Security solutions including Antivirus/EDR, SIEM integrations, Patch Management.

Responsibilities

• Design, establish, optimize, and manage the architecture of on-premise, cloud, and hybrid system infrastructures to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Define, implement, and regularly test HA, backup, and Disaster Recovery strategies to guarantee business continuity.
• Continuously monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve Tier 3 complex technical issues to maintain optimal operation.
• Execute system security hardening, patch management, and access control processes in full compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001 and KVKK.
• Develop scripts and Infrastructure as Code tools to automate repetitive system administration tasks.
• Manage infrastructure projects end-to-end, prepare thorough technical documentation, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.

As part of our IT transformation journey, we are expanding our infrastructure capabilities within the Aras Kargo Information Technology department and looking for a 'Senior System Specialist' to join our System & Network team.

Responsibilities

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 8–10 years of active hands‑on experience in system administration and infrastructure management.
• Advanced English proficiency in both reading and writing.
• Advanced expertise in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, CA, and IIS services.
• Solid Linux/Unix administration experience in RedHat, Debian, and Oracle Linux Server environments, including bash scripting and performance optimization.
• Extensive virtualization experience in VMware vSphere / ESXi environments, including Cluster, vMotion, HA, and DRS configurations.
• Practical experience in hybrid or native cloud infrastructure management on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Preferred familiarity with containerization fundamentals, specifically Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Strong storage knowledge in SAN/NAS architectures and hands‑on management of NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, or IBM storage systems.
• Proven enterprise backup expertise using solutions such as Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Ability to write scripts for system automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Preferred experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
• Hands‑on experience in installing and managing monitoring tools like SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Zabbix, or Prometheus/Grafana.
• Strong grasp of core networking principles, including TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing, Load Balancing (F5, HAProxy), and Firewall fundamentals.
• Experience with security solutions including Antivirus/EDR solutions, SIEM integrations, and Patch Management processes.
