Job summary

AVL Research and Engineering Türkiye is seeking engineers to lead safety lifecycle activities across specifications, testing, and validation for future vehicle safety concepts.

The role involves designing safety architectures, performing risk assessments, and hands-on calibration and integration activities, with opportunities to travel for environmental tests and collaborate with global AVL experts.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Automotive/EE/Electronics/Mechatronics/Control Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional R&D and product development experience.
• Fluent English; German/French/Italian a plus.
• Strong understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), E/E architecture and vehicle control.
• Experience in requirements engineering, controller/algorithm design, safety analysis (FMEA, FTA), quality management, data acquisition and post-processing with Matlab/Simulink.
• Experience in automotive diagnostics and network platforms like CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
• Understanding of electrified/hybrid powertrains, ADAS/AD, Chassis, SOTIF.
• Programming experience in Python/C# is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety lifecycle development from specifications to vehicle testing and validation.

• Risk assessment and safety analysis for defining measures to achieve safety performance targets,

• Travel the world for environmental tests in different and exciting locations (e.g., USA, Italy, Finland, Spain),
• Work with AVL Global experts to keep up with latest technologies and industry trends.

Profile Description

• BSc/ MSc/ PhD or equivalent engineering degree in Automotive / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Control Engineering or related technical field is preferred,
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in R&D and product development projects,
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (German, French or Italian would be a plus).
• Good understanding of of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), E/E architecture and vehicle control,
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Requirement Engineering, Controller / Algorithm Design and Implementation, Safety analysis (FMEA, FTA), Quality management, Data acquisition and Post-processing with Matlab/Simulink,
• Experience in Automotive Diagnostics and Network Communication platforms like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.
• Good understanding in one or more of the following areas: Electrified & hybrid powertrain technologies, ADAS/AD, Chassis, SOTIF,
• Having programming experience in any language (Phyton, C#, etc.) is a plus,
