Job summary

AVL Research and Engineering Turkey seeks a Hardware Safety Engineer to perform safety analyses for next generation automotive ECUs, inverters and BMS. You will drive safety metric analysis, evaluate architectures against ASIL requirements, and interact with customers, suppliers and assessors on safety topics.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics or Mechatronics, 2+ years in the field, strong ISO 26262 knowledge, and hands-on experience with FTA/FMEDA/DFA and safety tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics or Mechatronics.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in related area.
  • Strong understanding of hardware development.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with ISO 26262 Functional Safety Standard.
  • Proven experience performing FTA, FMEDA and DFA.
  • Experience in automotive hardware development for safety-critical systems.
  • Understanding of safety architectures, diagnostic concepts, and safety mechanisms.
  • Experience with semiconductor components, power electronics, microcontrollers, and hardware safety analysis.
  • Familiarity with requirements management and safety tools (e.g. Ansys Medini Analyze, APIS IQ-FMEA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent speaking and writing skills in English.
