Job summary

AVL Research and Engineering Türkiye seeks Senior Software Engineers to design, develop, and maintain enterprise desktop and web-based engineering software and tools for automotive digitalization and autonomy.

The role covers requirements engineering, R&D activities, and collaboration across multi-national teams; travel abroad may be required. Strong hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, and CI/CD is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or Informatics; MSc/PhD preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of software development experience.
• Fluent English—oral and written.

Senior Software Engineers develop advanced components and systems to be able to handle upcoming challenges of digitalization and autonomy in automotive. They focus on developing enterprise desktop and web-based engineering software and tools.

Senior Software Engineers develop advanced components and systems to be able to handle upcoming challenges of digitalization and autonomy in automotive. They focus on developing enterprise desktop and web-based engineering software and tools.

Description of daily responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following:

• Design, code, test, document and maintain software solutions
• Requirements engineering/management
• Involve in R&D activities

Profile Description

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering / Informatics, and preferably MSc and/or PhD qualifications
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software development
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English
• Fast learner; treats change as an opportunity to learn and develop
• Eager to learn state of the art technologies and techniques to come up with elegant solutions to the problems
• Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and proceed with objectives without supervision
• Willingness to frequent and long-term travel abroad
• Become a member of a team working on multi-national projects

Solid hands-on experience and a strong understanding of the following technologies and tools:

• Programming Languages: Java, JavaScript
• Build & CI/CD Tools: Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub
• IDEs: IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse
