Job summary

AVL Research and Engineering Turkiye is seeking an experienced engineer to lead safety lifecycle activities for future vehicle programs. You will design safety architectures, perform risk assessments, and specify functions to achieve safety targets.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a related technical field is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in R&D and product development.
• Fluent English; German/French/Italian is a plus.
• Good understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and E/E architecture.
• Experience with requirement engineering, algorithm design, and safety analysis.
• Experience with data acquisition and post-processing (Matlab/Simulink).
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and network communication platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support safe driving lifecycle development from specs to vehicle testing.
• Design safety architectures and specify system requirements.
• Perform risk assessment and safety analysis to meet targets.

• Develop simulation platforms to verify safety concepts (SIL/MIL/HIL).

• For safe driving experience in future vehicles, involve complete safety lifecycle development process from specifications to vehicle testing and validation,
• Reflect your system and domain knowledge to design safety architectures and specify the requirements of functions,
• Risk assessment and safety analysis for defining measures to achieve safety performance targets,
• Hands-on experience in safety calibration and integration activities,
• Develop simulation platforms and methodologies to verify safety concepts on SIL, MIL, HIL,
• Travel the world for environmental tests in different and exciting locations (e.g., USA, Italy, Finland, Spain),
• Work with AVL Global experts to keep up with latest technologies and industry trends.

Profile Description

• BSc/ MSc/ PhD or equivalent engineering degree in Automotive / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Control Engineering or related technical field is preferred,
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in R&D and product development projects,
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (German, French or Italian would be a plus).
• Good understanding of of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), E/E architecture and vehicle control,
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Requirement Engineering, Controller / Algorithm Design and Implementation, Safety analysis (FMEA, FTA), Quality management, Data acquisition and Post-processing with Matlab/Simulink,
• Experience in Automotive Diagnostics and Network Communication platforms like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.
• Good understanding in one or more of the following areas: Electrified & hybrid powertrain technologies, ADAS/AD, Chassis, SOTIF,
• Having programming experience in any language (Phyton, C#, etc.) is a plus,
