Job summary

EDGE Microwave in Turkey seeks a Senior Embedded Software Design Engineer to drive embedded software development for aerospace platforms, taking architectural ownership from requirements to production. The role demands strong C/C++ skills, experience with AMD SoC platforms, embedded Linux, and hardware/software integration in a multidisciplinary team.

You will design and implement software blocks, collaborate across RF/MW, hardware and system teams, and contribute to high-reliability embedded

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Electrical, Computer or Electronics Engineering with embedded focus.
• 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Strong C/C++ programming for embedded systems, including debugging and testing.
• Experience with AMD SoC platforms, FSBL, U-Boot, bootloaders and PetaLinux.
• Knowledge of embedded Linux application, system and/or kernel development.
• Experience with multi-threaded/multi-process software development and high reliability systems.
• Hardware/software integration experience and good debugging skills.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and document embedded software modules and systems using C/C++.
• Take technical ownership from requirements through production.
• Contribute to software architectures and interfaces considering hardware constraints.
• Develop software for processors, microcontrollers and SoC-based platforms.
• Develop and integrate drivers and interfaces for I2C, SPI, UART and CAN.
• Perform HW/SW co-design and system bring-up with hardware/FPGA teams.
• Develop functional and diagnostic test software and troubleshoot issues.
• Produce software architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Collaborate across hardware, RF/MW and system teams to optimize solutions.
• Participate in field testing and system validation; travel as needed.
