Job summary

Hitachi Energy Turkey Elektrik Sanayi Anonim Sirketi is seeking a senior electrical design engineer for the StarLiquid program. You will develop standards, review designs, and support global factories while ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE, GB, CSA and other standards.

The role requires 10+ years in transformer design and fluent English. This remote-enabled, full-time position offers collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and opportunities to mentor engineers while driving engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Elec Engineering required or equivalent.
• 10+ years experience in electrical design of liquid-filled distribution/power transformers.
• Knowledge of winding design, losses, impedance, dielectric clearances, insulation coordination, temperature rise, short-circuit.
• Experience with transformer design software and calculation tools.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Willing to travel 10–20% annually.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain StarLiquid electrical standards.
• Perform and review transformer designs and calculations.
• Evaluate factory designs for cost, materials, and performance.
• Review change requests and provide technically validated solutions.
• Support CDS and related systems implementation and compliance.
• Support global factories with StarLiquid deployment and issues.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide training.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, R&D, manufacturing, quality, and software teams.
• Serve as a subject matter expert with no people management.
• Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement of standards.
