Job summary

ENKA İnşaat ve Sanayi A.Ş. invites an Electrical Design Engineer to join the Head Office in Besiktas, Istanbul, to support data center projects with MV/LV/ELV designs and 3D BIM modeling.

You will translate SLDs into coordinated, constructible electrical systems, perform protection calculations, and generate BOQs while ensuring compliance with IEC/IEEE, NFPA 70, and safety guidelines in a team-based environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine Protection & Metering SLDs for MV/LV systems, Load Lists, Cable Schedules, and Panel Schedules.
• Execute core electrical calculations: Cable Sizing, Voltage drop, derating, Arc Flash, and protective schemes; include Earthing/Lightning Protection.
• Lead 3D modeling in Revit (LOD 300) ensuring clash-free layouts with MEP and Structural teams.
• Prepare Electrical Equipment Datasheets and MR's for MV, LV and ELV systems.
• Evaluate vendor bids for technical compliance with project specs.
• Review vendor drawings, shop drawings, submittals for seamless integration into the plant design.
• Generate and manage Bills of Quantities for procurement and construction estimating.
• Ensure designs follow MDR schedules and IEC/IEEE standards, NFPA 70, and safety guidelines.
• Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning, resolving field queries.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the technical production and detailed engineering of power systems within the Data Center design team. Candidates are expected to be responsible for executing the MV, LV, ELV design, performing core electrical calculations, and ensuring the 3D BIM model (LOD 300) reflects the engineering intent. This role requires a professional who can translate a conceptual Single Line Diagram (SLD) into a fully coordinated, constructible, and redundant electrical system that meets mission-critical uptime standards.

• Develop and refine Protection & Metering SLDs for MV/LV systems, Load Lists, Cable Schedules, and Panel Schedules.
• Execute core electrical calculations for: Cable Sizing - Voltage drop and derating calculations based on tray fill and ambient conditions. Protection - Arc Flash hazard assessments and breaker setting schedules. Systems - Earthing, Lightning Protection, and specialized Lighting calculations using Dialux.
• Lead the electrical 3D modeling (LOD 300) effort in Revit, ensuring that cable containment, switchgear footprints, and clearance zones are clash-free and coordinated with Mechanical and Structural disciplines.
• Prepare detailed Electrical Equipment Datasheets and Material Requisitions (MRs) for MV, LV and ELV systems.
• Support the Lead Engineer in evaluating vendor bids to ensure technical compliance with project specifications.
• Perform detailed reviews of vendor drawings, shop drawings, and submittals, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into the overall plant design.
• Generate and manage accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for procurement and construction estimating.
• Ensure all assigned deliverables are submitted according to the Master Document Register (MDR) schedule.
• Ensure all designs strictly follow IEC/IEEE standards, as well as NFPA 70 (NEC) and project-specific safety guidelines.
• Provide engineering assistance during the construction and commissioning phases, resolving field queries.
