Job summary

Softtech is seeking a Senior Data Scientist / AI Engineer to join the Professional Services team in Turkey. You will provide technical leadership, translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions, and own AI projects from ideation to production deployment.

Responsibilities include designing and refining ML/DL models, creating AI-ready data pools, and driving scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, PL/SQL and Scala, with a focus on GenAI and large models. Hybrid work supported.

What makes you a good fit:

• Minimum 5 years of technical leadership experience, mentoring team members and defining AI project architecture and direction,
• Ability to act as a bridge between business and technology, transforming complex business problems into AI and data analytics challenges, and communicating solutions, applications, models, and insights clearly to non-technical teams and sponsors,
• Proven track record of end-to-end ownership, having successfully led at least 3 AI projects from ideation to production, with hands‑on involvement across all stages of the AI Lifecycle,
• Advanced expertise in analyzing both structured and unstructured data, conducting exploratory data analysis (EDA), and building blended, relational AI-ready data pools,
• Strong foundation in machine learning and deep learning algorithms, with academic background and practical experience in model training and experiment design,
• Hands‑on experience with Generative AI (GenAI) and large models (LLM, VLM), including application development, model training, and fine‑tuning,
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming, with strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Scala for data processing, transformation, and architecture. Experience in deployment and serving AI models,
• Preferably holds a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
