Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. in Turkey is seeking a Lead Data Integration Engineer to architect, implement, and govern enterprise data pipelines. You will lead a 5+ engineering team and drive cloud-native or hybrid data solutions, ensuring security and performance.

The role requires strong SQL, Python/Scala, experience with Airflow, Talend or cloud ETL tools, and ability to present architectures to executives. You will collaborate with product owners and enterprise architects to deliver scalable data

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data management, design, migration, storage, and modeling.
• Experience leading teams of 4–7 engineers is preferred.
• Hands-on with Talend, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, GCP Dataflow or NiFi.
• Strong SQL, Python (PySpark, Pandas), Scala, SparkSQL, Bash coding.
• Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) with big data warehousing exposure.
• Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, PI and data security practices.
• Excellent English communication; capable of client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a data integration and ETL team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Manage sprint planning, resources, and risk; conduct code reviews.
• Set up testing frameworks for compliant, secure, high-performing code.
• Architect end-to-end data pipelines using serverless or hybrid setups.
• Design scalable data systems (OLAP/OLTP, Star/Snowflake, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Data Mesh).
• Collaborate with product owners and architects to translate requirements into specs.
• Present architectures to C-level executives, highlighting ROI and performance gains.
