Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. is seeking an experienced CAE engineer to perform full-vehicle to component FEA, develop and validate FE models, and collaborate across design and testing teams.

You will work with global R&D centers and advance AI-based CAE workflows using Python. The role requires a Master's in mechanical/automotive/aerospace engineering, strong FEM experience with tools like ABAQUS/ANSA, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in FEM-based durability and structural analysis at component/subsystem/system levels.
• Strong knowledge of FEM and CAE tools such as ABAQUS/ANSA/MEDINA/PERMAS.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with ownership and reliability.

What you can expect:

• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) at the full-vehicle, subsystem, and component levels to assess stiffness, strength, and durability requirements, including nonlinear behavior, contact interactions, large deformations, and multi-axial loading conditions.
• Develop, validate, and interpret FE models, providing engineering recommendations and optimising parts and components based on simulation results.
• Collaborate closely with design and testing teams to coordinate design modifications, test conditions, measurement concepts, and correlation activities.
• Work in a global engineering environment, cooperating with Daimler Truck AG R&D centers in Germany, Brazil, and India to achieve project objectives.
• Develop and apply innovative simulation methodologies, automation solutions, and CAE workflows to improve analysis accuracy, efficiency, and reliability, including creating and maintaining Python and CAE scripts for preprocessing, postprocessing, result evaluation, reporting, and the standardization of simulation processes.
• Manage multiple CAE projects and component development activities in parallel, including prioritisation, stakeholder alignment, and adherence to project milestones and timelines.
• Drive the development and implementation of AI-based solutions to support coding, model preparation, simulation workflows, result assessment, and testing activities within CAE-oriented projects.

That's Why You Are a Match:

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Strong experience in FEM-based durability, strength, and structural analysis at the component, subsystem, and/or system level, with profound knowledge of the Finite Element Method (FEM) and hands‑on experience with CAE tools such as ABAQUS, ANSA, MEDINA, PERMAS, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of material characterization, testing methodologies, data evaluation, correlation techniques, and the definition of material allowables.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and technical topics simultaneously in a structured, reliable, and results‑oriented manner.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, combined with a high level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional and international environments.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have:

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Experience in programming and automation, preferably using Python, including CAE scripting, workflow development, data processing, and result evaluation.
• Knowledge of AI concepts, machine learning fundamentals, or AI‑based engineering applications.
