Job summary

Mapa is seeking an experienced SAP BW Lead to join our Maslak office in Istanbul on a permanent, full-time, on-site basis. You will lead the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of SAP BW solutions, ensuring scalable data warehousing and reporting capabilities across the organization.

You will collaborate with business units, SAP S/4HANA/ERP teams, and external partners, drive data quality and system performance, and guide a technical team through full project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 8–10 years of SAP BW/BW/4HANA experience.
• Advanced SAP BW data modeling knowledge and hands-on SAP S/4HANA integration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work on-site at Maslak, Istanbul and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve SAP BW and related BI solutions.
• Analyze reporting and analytics requirements and design SAP BW solutions.
• Monitor SAP BW performance and implement optimizations.
• Coordinate integration with BI tools and reporting processes.
• Lead internal teams and external consultants through SAP BW development and support.
• Oversee full project lifecycle from analysis to go-live and post-go-live support.

We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Lead to join our organization in a permanent, full-time, on-site role based in Maslak, Istanbul. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SAP BW solutions, ensuring reliable, scalable, and high-performing data warehousing and reporting capabilities across the organization. This role requires strong hands-on experience in SAP BW technologies, data modeling, ETL processes, reporting, and system integration, as well as proven leadership capabilities in managing technical teams and complex SAP BW initiatives. The SAP BW Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional and technical teams, internal IT teams, and external service providers to understand business requirements, ensure data quality and system performance, and successfully deliver SAP BW projects and enhancements.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Manage and continuously improve SAP BW and related BI solutions in line with the organization’s business needs,
• Analyze reporting, data analytics, and decision-support requirements from business units and design appropriate SAP BW solutions,
• Monitor SAP BW system performance and carry out performance improvement and optimization activities,
• Coordinate integration with relevant BI and reporting tools within reporting processes,
• Work closely with operational business units to ensure that reporting and analytics requirements are effectively addressed,
• Coordinate internal teams and external consultants throughout SAP BW development, maintenance, and support processes,
• Manage the full lifecycle of SAP projects, including analysis, design, development, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support,
• Ensure compliance with data quality, data integrity, and data security standards,
• Ensure that technical documentation, user documentation, and process documentation are prepared, maintained, and kept up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field,
• At least 8-10 years of experience in SAP BW / SAP BW/4HANA, preferably with team leadership or project management experience,
• Advanced knowledge of SAP BW data modeling,
• Hands-on experience with the integration of SAP BW with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ERP systems,
• Knowledge of SAP HANA data modeling and performance optimization,
• Experience with BI and reporting tools is preferred,
• Strong technical analysis, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills,
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with a results- and solution-oriented mindset,
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to an on-site working model,
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Able to adapt to a full-time, on-site working model at our Maslak office.
• No travel restrictions for business trips to the project locations.
