Job summary

UN Women ECARO seeks a Programme Specialist to advance the Push Forward Strategy across Europe and Central Asia, coordinating with regional offices and country offices to ensure strategic alignment with donor priorities and governance reforms.

The role focuses on knowledge management, programmatic implementation, monitoring, and fundraising, guiding collaboration with HQ, donors, and partners to advance women’s rights and resilience in the region.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in public administration, law, human rights, gender equality, management, social sciences or related field is required.
Two years of progressively responsible experience in programme management at national or international level is required.
Experience in gender equality, women’s rights, gender backlash, civic space dynamics, and democratic resilience is desired.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another UN language is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead the Push Forward Strategy implementation and coordinate across the Regional Office and Country Offices.
Prepare donor reports, policy briefs, presentations and knowledge products related to backlash against gender equality.
Coordinate, monitor and evaluate development programmes and projects and contribute to resource mobilization strategies.
Organize regional webinars, trainings, workshops and learning events to promote knowledge sharing.
