Job summary

UN Women ECARO seeks a regional focal point to coordinate the Push Forward Strategy across the region, ensuring coherence with corporate priorities and strengthening partnerships. You will analyze trends related to gender equality backlash and prepare analytical inputs for donor reports.

The role includes knowledge management, webinars, and learning events, with potential supervision of interns or consultants. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are desirable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in managing complex programme interventions at national or international level.
• Experience related to gender equality, women's rights, gender backlash, civic space dynamics and democratic resilience is desirable.
• Proficiency with computer and office software packages; experience with web-based management systems.
• Project/programme management certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Regional Office focal point for ECARO Push Forward Strategy and coordinate its implementation across offices.
• Analyze trends related to backlash against gender equality and identify strategic opportunities.
• Prepare inputs for donor and UN Women reports and support partnership/resource mobilization efforts.
• Organize knowledge products, webinars, trainings, and learning events; maintain regional knowledge repository.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports, and supervise interns or consultants where applicable.
