The Opportunity
This position is ideal for a hands‑on refractory professional who enjoys working in the field, solving technical challenges, supervising installations, and building strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for overseeing refractory installations, coordinating contractor crews, supporting customers during critical shutdowns, and ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to Allied Mineral Products' quality standards.
This role requires extensive travel and offers the opportunity to work across a variety of industries including Foundry, Aluminum, Steel, Cement, Glass, and Industrial Thermal Processing.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervise refractory installation projects at customer sites.
- Coordinate and direct contractor crews during installation activities.
- Ensure refractory materials are stored, mixed, installed, dried, and sintered according to technical requirements and best practices.
- Monitor installation quality and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.
- Support troubleshooting activities, root‑cause investigations, and customer complaint resolution.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical recommendations to improve refractory performance.
- Prepare installation reports, application documentation, photographs, and performance records.
- Support product trials and refractory performance evaluations.
- Build strong relationships with customer maintenance, operations, and production teams.
- Identify competitive activity, market developments, and potential business opportunities within assigned territories.
- Work closely with Sales Managers and Account Managers to support customer success and business growth.
Maintain compliance with all company, customer, quality, environmental, and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
Required
- Experience in refractory installation, refractory maintenance, industrial furnaces, or high‑temperature processing industries.
- Practical knowledge of refractory materials and application methods.
- Experience working in Foundry, Aluminum, Steel, Cement, Glass, or other industrial processing environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Turkey and abroad.
- Valid driving license.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
Ability to work from a home‑office environment when not travelling.
Preferred
- Technical education in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Previous experience supervising refractory installation projects.
- International field service, commissioning, or project experience.
