Job summary

iLab is seeking an R&D Product Manager to help shape the next chapter of digitalization across its marketplaces and platform. You will own ML/data products from problem definition to production, working closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to drive measurable outcomes.

The position requires hands-on Python/SQL skills, experience with LLM-based systems, and a track record of delivering business-impact metrics beyond model accuracy.

Qualifications

• Built and evaluated ML models end-to-end with measurable business impact.
• Hands-on Python and SQL experience in production settings.
• Experience with LLM-based systems: prompting, RAG, evaluation, or cost/latency tradeoffs.
• At least one business outcome metric tied to work (e.g., conversion, revenue, engagement).
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders in a larger organization.
• Reads English technical material comfortably.

Must Have

• Personally built or evaluated machine learning models — not just managed people who did
• Owned at least one ML or data product end to end, from problem definition to production
• Hands-on with Python and SQL in a working context, not as listed skills
• Practical experience with LLM-based systems: prompting, RAG, evaluation, or cost/latency tradeoffs
• At least one business outcome metric tied to their work — conversion, revenue, engagement — not only model metrics like AUC or F1
• Experience working inside a larger organization with business stakeholders
• Reads English technical material comfortably

Nice to Have

• Recommendation, ranking, search relevance, NLP, or forecasting background.
• Marketplace, two-sided platform, e-commerce, banking analytics, or HR tech domain.
• Startup founding experience combined with corporate experience.
• PhD in CS, EE, IE, Statistics, or OR with at least 2 years in industry afterwards.
• Public evidence of depth: GitHub activity, technical blog, publications, or conference talks.
