Job summary

Greiner Packaging in Istanbul seeks a Quality Specialist to join the Quality team. You will ensure products and processes meet quality, safety, and customer requirements, supporting audits, documentation, inspections, and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement the Quality Management System, and drive corrective actions while maintaining compliance with GMP, 5S and production standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing quality.
• Knowledge of QMS standards including BRCGS Packaging, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001.
• Experience with GMP, internal audits, corrective actions, and problem-solving methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality certification and customer audits, prepare action plans and ensure follow-up.
• Investigate customer complaints, support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support implementation of the Quality Management System and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitor compliance with specifications, drawings, control requirements and product safety standards.
• Identify risks and nonconformities, implement corrective actions and escalate critical issues.
• Perform GMP inspections and support hygiene, 5S, and Shopfloor Management in production areas.
• Handle nonconforming materials and supplier returns; support new product preparation from a quality perspective.

In this role, you will play an active part in ensuring that our products and production processes meet quality, product safety, hygiene, and customer requirements. You will work closely with different departments, contribute to customer and certification audits, support quality documentation and inspection activities, manage quality-related actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality certification and customer audits, prepare required action plans, and ensure effective follow-up and closure of actions.
• Investigate customer complaints, support root-cause analysis and corrective actions, and follow up critical quality issues in production.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the effective implementation of the Quality Management System and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitor product and production process compliance with applicable specifications, technical drawings, control requirements, and product safety standards.
• Identify quality risks and nonconformities, ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented and followed up, and elevate critical production issues when required.
• Perform GMP inspections and support hygiene, housekeeping, 5S, and Shopfloor Management activities in production areas.
• Ensure appropriate handling of nonconforming materials and products, including supplier returns and returned-product inspections.
• Support new product preparation and industrialization activities from a quality perspective.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, Food, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing quality, preferably in a production environment.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including BRCGS Packaging, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
• Knowledge of product safety, GMP, internal audits, corrective actions, and problem-solving methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, control plans, and inspection requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with quality or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical thinking, reporting, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a strong sense of ownership and results orientation.
• Ability to work in production areas and adapt to a dynamic working environment
