Job summary

Serioplast in Konya, Türkiye, is seeking a Quality Controller to ensure product quality and hygiene across production lines. You will work closely with production and quality teams to uphold our ISO-standard processes.

The role reports to the Quality Manager and involves inspection, measurement, and documentation, with a focus on continuous improvement and a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Proficient with measuring instruments and measurement techniques.
• Knowledge of plastic manufacturing technologies (EBM) and/or Sleeve.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and EN 15593 standards.
• Understanding of Health, Safety & Environment rules.
• Basic knowledge of SPC and statistical analysis.
• Basic knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC checks per the quality control plan using lab instruments (scales, calipers, thickness gauges, top load testers, torque meters).
• Identify and sort defective bottles and support batch disposition decisions.
• Check incoming materials against quality specs and verify related documentation.
• Record and verify quality data in forms and systems; report issues to supervisor.
• Prepare production stock labels.
• Calibrate and clean measurement instruments used in production and lab.
• Operate relevant programs on the CMM machine.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environment rules and maintain hygiene; support 5S standards.
• Share information and report quality issues to the Quality Manager.
• Collaborate with Quality and other functions to ensure product quality.

Serioplast, a Global Leader in Rigid Plastic Packaging, is looking for a Quality Controller for our plant in Konya, Türkiye.

The Quality Controller reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for ensuring the quality and hygiene of the final product in accordance with company standards and procedures.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Perform controls according to the quality control plan for each product, including during technical interventions and product industrialization processes, using laboratory instruments such as scales, calipers, thickness gauges, top load testers, and torque meters.
• Identify and sort defective bottles, contribute to decisions regarding batch disposition, and support the evaluation of quality issues.
• Check incoming materials against quality specifications and verify the compliance of related documentation.
• Record and verify quality measurement information in the relevant forms and systems, and promptly report any issues to the direct supervisor.
• Prepare production stock labels.
• Perform calibration and cleaning of measuring instruments used in production and laboratory areas.
• Operate and run relevant programs on the CMM machine.
• Follow company Health, Safety, and Environment rules and practices and maintain order, cleanliness, and workplace hygiene in assigned areas.
• Follow and contribute to the implementation of 5S standards.
• Ensure proper information sharing and report relevant quality issues to the Quality Manager.
• Communicate and cooperate with the Quality team and other business functions to ensure the quality and hygiene of the final product and contribute to a high-performance culture.

Technical Skills

• Excellent applied knowledge of measuring instruments and measurement techniques.
• Good knowledge of plastic manufacturing technologies (EBM and/or Sleeve).
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001 and EN 15593 standards.
• Basic knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment rules and practices.
• Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical analysis.
• Basic knowledge of English.

Education and Experience
