Job summary

Randstad Türkiye is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead and professionalize our purchasing organization within the Healthcare sector. You will oversee end-to-end purchasing, develop supplier relationships, and drive cost optimization across local and international suppliers.

The role requires a strong data-driven mindset, 8–10 years of purchasing experience in healthcare or production-intensive industries, and frequent travel to operational sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biology, Bioengineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of purchasing/procurement experience in healthcare/production industries.
• Proven experience in raw material or technical purchasing.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation and cost optimization.
• Experience managing local and international suppliers.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
• Data-driven mindset with analytical skills.
• Experience establishing or improving purchasing processes and workflows.
• Strong understanding of production planning and inventory management.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company at domestic and international fairs and supplier meetings.

• Lead and develop the purchasing function in line with the company’s growth strategy.
• Manage end-to-end purchasing processes, including raw materials, technical equipment, machinery, investments and other purchasing categories.
• Develop and manage local and international supplier relationships.
• Identify alternative suppliers, products and sourcing opportunities.
• Lead price, payment terms and contract negotiations.
• Work closely with Production and Planning teams to align purchasing activities with changing operational requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, open purchase orders, delivery schedules and supply risks.
• Coordinate purchasing plans with Finance, particularly regarding payment schedules and cash-flow planning.
• Establish and improve purchasing procedures, approval workflows, reporting systems and KPIs.
• Build a more systematic, data-driven and digitalized purchasing structure.
• Lead, develop and structure the purchasing team according to the company’s evolving needs.
• Identify cost optimization and process improvement opportunities.
• Represent the company at relevant domestic and international fairs and supplier meetings.
• Develop new sourcing opportunities and strategic supplier partnerships.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Be actively involved in the operational environment and understand production, warehouse and material flow processes.
• The role requires frequent travel to operational sites and other locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Medical, Chemical, FMCG or other production-intensive industries.
• Proven experience in raw material and/or technical purchasing.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation and cost optimization.
• Experience managing both local and international suppliers.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Experience in establishing or improving purchasing processes, systems and workflows.
• Good understanding of production planning, inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Strong financial awareness, including payment terms, purchasing commitments and cash-flow planning.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage change and build effective relationships within an established organization.
• Proactive, solution-oriented and commercially minded approach.
• Strong negotiation, decision-making and influencing skills.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly growing organization.
• Willingness to travel frequently and spend extended periods at operational sites when required.
• Experience with ERP systems and digital procurement tools is an advantage.
