Job summary

CATL is seeking a Purchasing Engineer for our Bursa, Türkiye facility. You will manage end-to-end procurement of indirect materials, lead supplier negotiations, and ensure cost-effective, timely purchases.

The role requires strong commercial sense, local supplier engagement in Turkey, and collaboration with operations and finance. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in procurement, experience with ERP systems (SAP/Ariba), and excellent English/Turkish communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing/MRO sourcing.
• Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
• Ability to review contracts and commercial terms with attention to cost vs. quality.
• Excellent English and Turkish communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and procure indirect materials for daily plant operations.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
• Manage supplier performance and onboarding of local Turkish suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documentation.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and finance teams.
