Job summary

Yazaki Europe Middle East and Africa in Turkey is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Akyazı plant. You will manage cross-functional projects from initiation to launch and ensure adherence to scope, cost, and schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 2+ years in manufacturing, and strong Turkish and English communication. APQP/PPAP knowledge is a plus, with a focus on process improvements and close collaboration with production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing position.
• Excellent Turkish and English written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create, distribute, and monitor Detailed Activity Plans across all project phases.
• Coordinate all production preparation activities with the project team and cross-functional departments.
• Serve as the primary contact for external departments and ensure seamless information flow within the plant.
• Prepare, update, and manage customer-specific documentation and forms.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, or IATF 16949 is an asset.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and present regular project progress reports.

What will your job be about?

• Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering disciplines (e.g., Electrical/Electronics, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within a manufacturing plant environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Turkish and English
• Knowledge and experience in Project Management methodologies is a strong plus
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent team player with a collaborative mindset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

What will you bring with you?

• Creating, distributing, and monitoring Detailed Activity Plans across all project phases
• Coordinating all production preparation activities with the project team and supporting cross-functional departments throughout the project lifecycle

• Preparing, updating, and managing customer-specific documentation and forms.

• Actively participating in Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) studies conducted by the project group
• Ensuring all project activities are executed in alignment with cost, quality, and schedule targets
• Updating Project Master Plans and Detailed Activity Plans, and ensuring prompt corrective actions are taken in case of deviations from customer requirements or timelines
• Proactively managing risks, engineering changes, or potential delays to prevent negative impacts on the overall project timeline
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency of plant production processes
• Preparing and presenting regular project progress reports
