Job summary

Yazaki Europe Middle East and Africa in Sakarya, Turkey, seeks a Production Planning Engineer to ensure material flow for wiring harness production at the Akyazı plant.

You will manage material localization, track orders, communicate with customers on plans and delivery, and drive Kaizen and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Industrial Engineering, 2 years' experience in production planning, SAP MM/PP, and strong English and Turkish skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or relevant fields.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in production and material planning.
• Practical knowledge of SAP MM and PP modules.
• Advanced PC skills; proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Turkish.
• Proactive and adaptable in dynamic environments.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and teamwork.
• Residence in Sakarya or Kocaeli provinces.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate supply of materials for wiring harness production.
• Manage localization of direct and indirect materials for wiring harness manufacturing.
• Track customer orders and ensure timely follow-up across operations.
• Communicate plans, schedules and delivery processes with customers.
• Execute production planning, control, monitoring, and reporting activities.
• Monitor daily stock levels for inventory accuracy.
• Track critical materials and coordinate master production plans.
• Participate in regular meetings to support change management.
• Prepare inventory reports and capacity/utilization plans.
• Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement in-plant activities.
• Review planning procedures to improve efficiency.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for Production Planning Engineer which will be located in our plant, Akyazı, SAKARYA

What will your job be about?

• Ensure the timely, accurate, and quality-assured supply of all required materials to the plant for wiring harness production
• Manage the localization of direct and indirect materials for wiring harness manufacturing in accordance with customer approvals
• Track customer orders and ensure timely follow-up across all operational stages.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding planning, schedules, and delivery processes to maintain an accurate information flow
• Execute production planning, control, monitoring, and performance reporting activities
• Monitor daily stock levels to guarantee inventory accuracy
• Track critical materials, conduct production feasibility analyses, and coordinate master production plans
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly operational meetings, as well as design change meetings to support change management processes
• Prepare inventory data reports, develop capacity/utilization plans, and build long-term production strategies
• Lead, drive, and finalize in-plant Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
• Review and update planning procedures periodically to ensure operational efficiency

What will you bring with you?
