Job summary

Spheros Germany GmbH in Istanbul’s Esenyurt site seeks a Project Buyer to coordinate purchasing for interdisciplinary development teams, from kickoff through readiness for production. You will drive cost reductions, develop bidder lists, and collaborate with international teams on global sourcing.

The role requires a degree in engineering or business administration, 2+ years in purchasing, strong negotiation and communication skills, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, business administration or a comparable field of study.
• At least two years of professional purchasing experience in an industrial environment.
• Results-oriented and structured way of working.
• Strong negotiation skills, assertiveness and a high degree of personal responsibility and initiative.
• Professional competence combined with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities within interdisciplinary development teams—from project kick-off to series production readiness.
• Develop bidder lists and sourcing plans with commodity managers.
• Prepare analytical evaluations to support purchasing decisions and present to the Sourcing Committee.
• Initiate and implement measures to reduce material costs and conduct global sourcing with international teams.
• Prepare and support supplier relocations and identify new suppliers.
• Support supplier development activities.
