Job summary

LHH is seeking a Production Assembly Chief to coordinate manufacturing activities in Turkey, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets. You will lead assembly technicians, manage shifts, and drive continuous improvement.

This role requires 5–7 years in manufacturing and a technical background, with strong leadership, English fluency, and collaboration across Planning, Quality, Procurement, and Engineering to resolve bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years in manufacturing, with 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably within assembly operations.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with international teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

We are currently looking for a Production Assembly Chief for our global business partner.

Job Description

Coordinate manufacturing activities in line with operational objectives and budgets, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved.

Monitor production areas, machinery, processes, and output, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Lead, motivate, and develop assembly technicians and operators; manage shift schedules, performance evaluations, and resource allocation.

Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies to eliminate waste, improve assembly cycle times and optimize workflow efficiency.

Collaborate closely with Planning, Quality, Procurement, Engineering, and other relevant departments to resolve technical bottlenecks and ensure smooth material flow on the shop floor.

Manage continuous improvement initiatives and changes in manufacturing methods by evaluating technological developments and assessing the feasibility of new equipment and techniques.

Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are understood and implemented by all production team members.

Lead cross-functional initiatives and contribute to the preparation and implementation of operational plans aligned with business objectives.

Collaborate with management teams to maintain a positive and productive working environment.

Monitor and regularly report production KPIs.

• Ability to manage conflicts, motivate technical teams, and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and people-management skills, particularly in managing blue-collar technical teams.
