Omya is seeking a Senior Production and Maintenance Expert for the Gebze Plant (Kocaeli). The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, at least 7 years in production/maintenance, SAP proficiency, and strong leadership and communication skills.

• SAP knowledge required.
• Fluency in English both written and verbal.

• Preferably automation experience (PLC/SCADA).
• Preferably experience in electrical and electronic maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, monitor, and control all maintenance activities.
• Develop weekly/monthly/annual maintenance programs.
• Plan production programs according to customer demands and drive process improvements.
• Manage workshop and spare parts; prepare purchase plans.
• Support plant budget and participate in projects to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with production to ensure preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Lead teams and supervise contractors on site.
• Conduct root cause analysis for breakdowns and defects.
• Maintain lean manufacturing activities like 5S and drive continuous improvement.

Omya is a leading global producer of industrial minerals – mainly fillers and pigments derived from calcium carbonate and dolomite – and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals. We seek for a Production and Maintenance Expert (Senior) for our Gebze Plant (Kocaeli) and the ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (Preferably, electrical or mechanical engineering)
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a production-based organization as Production and Maintenance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• SAP knowledge
• Good team member
• Analytical thinking, result and quality-oriented approach
• Fluency in English both written and verbal
• Planning, supervising and controlling of operations in the plant to ensure continuity of production without any interruptions and also considering health & safety, quality and financial issues.
• Supervising workers, production/ maintenance technicians and all contractors on site

• Preferably experience in electrical and electronic maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Production

• Responsibility of all maintenance activities including planning, monitoring and controlling
• Planning weekly/monthly and annual maintenance programs according to group plan and conducting planned maintenance activities.
• Planning weekly and monthly production programs according to customer demands and conducting process improvement activities.
• Workshop management
• Spare part management and reporting
• Preparing the purchase plan of needed spares
• Supporting the budget plan of plant.
• An active player in plant projects.
• Conducting risk analysis for critical failures.
• Organizing maintenance activities with production.
• Closely follow -up plant requirements for production/maintenance activities.
• Taking actions and making root cause analysis for the breakdowns and repeating defects.
• Maintaining lean manufacturing activities like 5S.
• Collaborating work with production team for managing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities in production lines to provide continuous and high performance production.
• Leading teams for continuous improvement by acting in close cooperation both supervisors and blue collar employees for operations.
• Tracing performance on production level and explore opportunities with necessary analysis for further improvement projects

Project

• Managing projects according to the contractual and technical guidelines
• Planning and executing the projects within defined time, quality and budget constraints
• Follow commissioning and start-up stages
• Develop continuous improvement projects to eliminate losses and to increase machine efficiencies

Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Responsibility for documentation concerning maintenance
• Supervising to plant maintenance to be in line given specification
• Planning of training for manpower, implementation and documentation
• Waste inventory and arrangement of disposal
• Lead to Health and Safety Management System in the plant

Planning

• Production lead time planning with supply chain team
• Planning of auxiliary materials for needed production
