We are currently seeking a ''Powership Investment Electrical Director'' for our client operating in the ''Energy sector'' for whom we provide recruitment consultancy services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in electrical projects within the energy, oil & gas industries.
- Strong experience in the design, engineering, installation, commissioning, and field execution of electrical projects.
- Advanced technical knowledge and hands‑on field experience in High Voltage (HV) systems and related project requirements.
- Extensive experience in EPC projects, with strong knowledge of electrical engineering, installation, and project execution processes.
- Proven experience in managing electrical subcontractors, including technical evaluations, field execution, scope coordination, and technical contract negotiations.
- Experience in preparing and monitoring technical reports and project progress reports.
- Experience in project budgeting, cost estimation, and budget planning.
- Strong experience in the design, implementation, commissioning, and operational support of electrical and control systems for power generation facilities and power plants.
- Strong team management, coordination, and leadership capabilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Willing and able to travel in line with project requirements.
- Residing in Yalova, willing to relocate to Yalova, or able to work at the Yalova location.
Job Description
- Lead the establishment and effective management of a large-scale electrical engineering organization responsible for the electrical design and investment processes of Powership projects.
- Manage and oversee the electrical design of Powership projects, including defining technical specifications, applicable standards, and design requirements.
- Manage the entire electrical design and engineering lifecycle, from the initial design phase through completion of the electrical engineering design package and handover to the relevant teams.
- Communicate electrical designs, technical specifications, and project requirements to project, execution, and field teams; ensure proper implementation of the defined scope of work and oversee its control and follow‑up.
- Manage the preparation, review, and approval processes of technical specifications, control philosophies, single‑line diagrams, and other relevant electrical design documentation.
- Ensure technical quality, schedule compliance, and execution integrity throughout all stages, from electrical design through field implementation, and ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established standards.
- Manage procurement and subcontracting processes related to electrical and control systems, including technical evaluations, contract negotiations, subcontractor selection, and supplier coordination.
- Ensure that projects are executed in line with the defined scope, budget, schedule, technical requirements, and quality standards.
- Monitor overall project performance and prepare regular reports on technical, schedule, and financial progress for presentation to senior management.
- Establish the organizational structure of the Electrical Investments team, identify the required areas of expertise and competencies, and lead the recruitment, development, and growth of the team.
