Zusammenfassung

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking an experienced Outpatient Surgery/PACU RN to provide professional nursing care for patients, coordinate care with teams, and maintain sterile technique during procedures. The role requires current Ohio RN license, ADN, CPR and ACLS, plus strong communication and documentation skills.

The position offers full-time hours (60–72 per two weeks), on‑call duties with a 30-minute response, self-scheduling, and access to in-house certification programs.

Qualifikationen

• Current Ohio RN License and ADN.
• CPR certification, or obtain within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification, or obtain within one year of employment.
• Ability to read, write and explain or describe moderately complex information to other hospital staff.
• Ability to communicate well in an oral and written manner.
• Ability to read, calculate and prepare medication.
• Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out established plan.
• Demonstrates competence in age‑specific patient care.

Aufgaben

• Provides direct patient care in accordance with physician orders in a warm and friendly manner.
• Takes and records measurements or readings.
• Assesses condition and provides treatment for care of patient.
• Administers prescribed medications.
• Accurately captures all applicable patient charges and submits on appropriate form in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates proper decontamination of instrumentation and re-sterilization.
• Facilitates cost reduction by not opening unnecessary supplies.
• Maintains physician preference cards.
• Accepts on-call schedule and responds within 30 minutes.
• Uses Epic system to enter and confirm orders and print reports; may use other systems.
• May serve on department focus team.
• Documents implant records completely and accurately; ensure correct charges.
• Follows Time-Out Policy and Leads counts per Count Policy.
• Acts as patient advocate.
• Handoff reporting to recovering nurse.
