Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and current Ohio RN License.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.
• Ability to read, write and explain moderately complex information to staff.
• Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to prepare and administer medications and observe reactions.
• Data collection, interpretation and priority setting skills.
• Competence in age-specific patient care per checklist.
• Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure, after-hours call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care per physician orders in a warm, friendly manner.
• Assist with patient transport to/from Cath/EP Lab.
• Fulfill duties of circulating nurse or recorder through all procedure phases.
• Take and record measurements or readings.
• Assess condition and provide treatment per plan.
• Administer prescribed medications.
• Provide leadership while collaborating with care team.
• Educate patients and families about care and procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance activities as required.
• Support Cath and EP Lab procedures, including structural heart cases.
• Perform other assigned duties.
