Job summary

Jymoon Games is seeking a skilled 2D Character Artist to create appealing, readable, and memorable characters for a hybrid-casual mobile game. You will design characters, skins, costumes, expressions, and related assets from sketch to final polished artwork.

Applications including a portfolio will be prioritized during the review process. You will collaborate with the Concept Artist, Art Director, Animators and Developers to ensure a cohesive visual style and smooth animation integration.

Qualifications

3+ years as a 2D Character Artist or similar role.
Experience in mobile games, casual or hybrid-casual games.
Strong portfolio showing stylized character design, final artwork quality.
Strong understanding of anatomy, gesture, silhouette, color, lighting.

Responsibilities

Create high-quality 2D character artwork from sketch to final asset.
Design characters, skins, costumes, accessories, expressions.
Maintain a consistent character style across the game.
Prepare assets for Spine/Unity Animator rigging and animation.
Create turnarounds, expression sheets, pose sheets and production-ready breakdowns.
Collaborate with Concept Artist, Art Director, Animators and Developers.
Iterate based on feedback, gameplay needs and technical requirements.
Maintain a high visual quality bar for all character assets.
