We are looking for Mid/Senior Data Scientist - Optimization & Generative AI

Project Leadership and Delivery:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of optimization and decision-support solutions to improve business performance and operational efficiency.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of data science and operations research projects, ensuring timely completion and measurable business impact.
- Collaborate with business, logistics, supply chain, planning, and technology teams to identify optimization opportunities and translate them into analytical solutions.
Optimization Modeling and Advanced Analytics
- Develop and implement optimization models for supply chain, logistics, workforce planning, inventory management, replenishment, transportation, scheduling, routing, and resource allocation problems.
- Design and develop predictive models including demand forecasting, anomaly detection, and operational performance prediction.
- Apply Operations Research techniques such as Linear Programming (LP), Mixed Integer Programming (MIP), Constraint Programming (CP), Network Optimization, and Heuristic/Metaheuristic approaches.
- Develop simulation models and digital decision-support systems to evaluate operational scenarios.
- Design and track optimization and machine learning experiments and establish robust validation strategies.
Generative AI and Intelligent Decision Systems
- Explore and develop AI-powered decision support solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI architectures.
- Design AI assistants that help business users interact with optimization models, operational data, and analytical insights through natural language interfaces.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging AI technologies to improve business processes and decision-making capabilities.
Stakeholder Management:
- Translate complex optimization models and analytical outputs into actionable business recommendations.
- Prepare and present insights, scenarios, and business impact assessments to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Facilitate alignment between business objectives and technical solution design.
Innovation and Research:
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in Operations Research, Machine Learning, Optimization, and Generative AI.
- Explore emerging methodologies, algorithms, and tools to improve operational performance and decision quality.
- Contribute to the innovation pipeline by proposing and piloting new optimization and AI solutions.
Team Development and Mentoring:
- Mentor junior data scientists, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Who Are We Looking For?
We're looking for a passionate and innovative Mid/Senior Data Scientist who enjoys solving complex operational and business problems through advanced analytics, optimization, and AI technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience (retail, e-commerce, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or operations preferred) in Data Science, Operations Research, Analytics, or Optimization-related roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Strong understanding of mathematical optimization techniques including Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming, Constraint Programming, and Heuristic Optimization approaches.
- Experience with optimization frameworks such as OR-Tools, Gurobi, CPLEX, Pyomo, PuLP, or similar technologies.
- Experience developing simulation or optimization solutions for operational decision-making problems.
- Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architectures, Agentic AI systems, and their practical business applications.
- Experience deploying batch and API-based analytical solutions in production environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
- Knowledge of data engineering concepts and experience working with large-scale datasets.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with distributed processing technologies such as Spark.
- Strong knowledge of model evaluation methodologies, optimization KPIs, and business impact measurement.
- Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, and performance tracking concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain complex optimization and AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with logistics, transportation, warehouse optimization, workforce planning, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, or supply chain analytics.
- Experience developing decision intelligence platforms or optimization-based recommendation systems.
- Experience integrating optimization engines with machine learning and Generative AI solutions.
- Familiarity with simulation methodologies such as Monte Carlo Simulation or Discrete Event Simulation.
