Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related fields or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the logistics services field
- Knowledge in procurement and supply chain concepts (supplier management, contract management, tendering, negotiation, etc.)
- Knowledge of logistics contracts is plus
- Good team player, result oriented with positive attitude
- Excellent business partnering skills
- Highly customer obsessed, good communication skills both in Turkish and English.
- Experience with rate and contract negotiation with both international and domestic logistics service providers is plus
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to adapt to company specific system
- Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks
- Ability to work in different cultural settings
- Able to travel (both local&international)
Job Description
- Handling 3PL benchmark studies, market research and tender management in a given country
- Execute procurement and sourcing strategies for categories under management
- Ensuring that logistics procurement projects are in line with company policy and quality standards
- Maintain regular contacts with interface partners to recognize developments (in market, demand, etc.) and exert influence accordingly
- Identify opportunities and conduct projects to generate cost-saving, cost avoidance and value-added advantages for categories under management
- Preparing and conducting contract and price negotiations with suppliers for small to large volumes to contribute to the profitability of the company
- Analyze demand, markets and suppliers to create a basis for deciding on the optimum logistics procurement strategy
- Follow company rules for risk and contract management to avoid risk and warrant costs
- Analyzing scope of supply and customer contract agreements, carrying out risk analyses and introducing negotiation recommendations to prepare for negotiations with suppliers and to initiate appropriate measures
- Undertake supplier management to gain the best suppliers and guarantee an optimum logistics service
