Job summary

LC Waikiki is seeking experienced software professionals to join its AI/ML platform team in Istanbul. You will contribute to scalable AI/ML workloads, design APIs and tooling, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade systems.

The role emphasizes performance optimization, developer experience, and collaboration across Data & AI, Cloud, and Platform groups, with a hybrid office model in Istanbul.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• Experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience developing and operating production-grade software systems.

Responsibilities

• Optimize performance of AI/ML platform stack through profiling and debugging.
• Develop tools for Data & AI/ML Platform to improve developer experience.
• Design reusable platform capabilities, APIs, SDKs and tooling.
• Enable engineers to develop, evaluate, deploy, observe and operate production-grade AI/ML systems.
• Collaborate with Data Eng, Data Science, ML Engineering, Software Engineering, Cloud, and Platform teams.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve reliability, observability, and security.
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML infra technologies.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, including model deployment, inference, performance optimization, profiling, and debugging.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, SDKs, frameworks, developer tools, or reusable platform components.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, containers, orchestration platforms, or serverless computing.
• Experience with distributed systems and distributed computing.
• Experience with hardware-accelerated AI/ML workloads using GPUs, TPUs, or similar accelerators.
• Understanding of ML lifecycle and production ML systems, including training, evaluation, deployment, inference, observability, and monitoring.
• Experience with modern Generative AI systems, including LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), evaluation, or agentic systems.
• Ability to scope and solve ambiguous technical problems in a dynamic environment where AI technologies are continuously advancing.
• Ability to demonstrate technical leadership by aligning engineering objectives and timelines across multiple teams.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Optimize performance across the AI/ML platform technical stack through in-depth profiling, debugging, and troubleshooting of AI/ML training and inference workloads.
• Develop tools and software for our Data & AI/ML Platform to deliver an end-to-end developer experience.
• Design and build reusable platform capabilities, services, APIs, SDKs, frameworks, and developer tooling for Data and AI/ML workloads.
• Enable engineers and data scientists to efficiently develop, experiment, evaluate, deploy, observe, and operate production-grade AI/ML systems.
• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable software and distributed systems supporting AI/ML workloads.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Science, ML Engineering, Software Engineering, Cloud, and Platform teams to ensure the platform delivers exceptional developer experience and business value.
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks across AI/ML workloads and platform services.
• Improve the reliability, observability, security, and operational efficiency of the platform.
• Shape the future of the Data & AI/ML Platform by identifying gaps in existing capabilities and designing and implementing enhancements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies in AI/ML infrastructure, Generative AI, and distributed systems and determine where they can provide meaningful platform capabilities.
