Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Group Leader to oversee the assigned manufacturing group in Turkey, driving safety, quality, and delivery performance. You will own daily operations, escalate production issues, and coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to meet targets.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing with strong leadership, problem-solving, and Lean Six Sigma experience, along with a solid grounding in safety and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Engineering degrees listed in Qualifications.
• Master's degree or higher preferred in MBA or Engineering Management.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt preferred.
• People management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to First Line Leaders and maintain accountability for safety, quality, delivery and performance.
• Own daily operational performance and act as escalation point for production issues.
• Drive safety culture, review safety actions, and ensure EHS standards compliance.
• Own quality performance and lead corrective actions and containment as needed.
• Manage production targets, delivery commitments, and budget productivity.
• Lead and coach FLLs; conduct performance reviews and development planning.

What You’ll Do

The Group Leader owns daily operational performance and acts as the primary escalation point for production issues.

Safety

• Drive proactive safety culture.
• Review and close safety actions.
• Lead investigations of significant safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all EHS standards.

Quality

• Own quality performance of the manufacturing group.
• Review quality losses and corrective actions.
• Lead containment and escalation activities when required.
• Ensure standards are followed consistently.

Operational Ownership

• Own overall performance of the assigned manufacturing group.
• Ensure production targets, delivery commitments, and business objectives are achieved.
• Drive daily execution through FLLs.
• Directly lead and coach FLLs.
• Develop leadership capability within teams.
• Conduct performance reviews and development planning.
• Ensure effective manpower utilization across areas.
• Lead daily Tier meetings.
• Review previous-day and current-shift performance.
• Escalate site-level issues requiring cross-functional support.
• Coordinate actions with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
• Act as escalation level for unresolved FLL issues.
• Lead structured problem solving activities.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
• Maintain staffing, equipment, and operational readiness.
• Manage risks affecting production continuity.
• Drive achievement of budgeted productivity and efficiency targets.

Qualifications

• Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy & Materials Engineering
• Master's Degree (MBA or Engineering Management)Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, Leadership Development Certifications preferred
• Min 5 years of manufacturing experience
• People management experience

Skills

• Safety EHS principles, risk assessment, incident investigation, layered process audits, safety culture development
• Manufacturing Operations Production planning and execution, capacity management, resource balancing, labor productivity management, OEE management, understanding of product and end user application/specifications, including product testing requirements. (design/process interface), ability to read and interpret, engineering drawings and specifications. Preferable; knowledge on sheet metal processes, welding and dry powder coating processes.
• Quality Quality management systems, root cause analysis, PFMEA, control plans and forms, QLPA, quality perofmance measurement methods (DPPM, FPY, Scrap Rates) Control Plans, customer specific quality processes (i.e., ISO9001 etc).
• Lean Manufacturing Lean principles, value stream mapping, standard work, visual Management, 5S+, Kaizen, waste elimination, ,daily management systems
• Problem Solving Understanding of problem solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) - i.e. thought maps, PDCA, L 8D, A3, fishbone analysis, 5 Why , Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Gage R & R, control charts, Pareto charts, etc.
• Performance Management
• KPI management, cost awareness, productivity analysis, budget responsibility, performance reporting, tier management systems
• Proficiency in Office 365, knowledge in SAP.
• Knowledge of ELSS and EQS Tools
