Job summary

Doğuş Hospitality & Retail Group seeks a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to lead concept through detailed design for hotel, restaurant, and retail projects in Türkiye and abroad.

You will coordinate with international design firms, review proposals, manage budgets and schedules, and oversee commissioning and on-site installation. Strong English and travel willingness are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering project and construction management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, fire protection, smoke control, and BMS.
• Extensive knowledge of kitchen ventilation, exhaust systems, air conditioning, and mechanical infrastructure for hotel/restaurant projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate mechanical engineering with architectural, electrical, and other disciplines.
• Experience in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, specifications, budgeting, and tender processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical disciplines through concept to detailed design phases for hotel, restaurant, and retail projects.
• Review mechanical designs to align with architectural and interior concepts.
• Coordinate with international design firms, engineering consultants, and hospitality operators.
• Evaluate contractor proposals from technical and commercial perspectives.
• Lead Value Engineering by identifying alternative materials and system solutions.
• Monitor on-site mechanical works to ensure compliance with budgets and schedules.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Preferably experienced in luxury hotels, restaurants, high-end retail stores, and premium commercial developments.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering project and construction management, preferably including at least 5 years in similar projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, fire protection, smoke control, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Extensive knowledge of commercial kitchen ventilation, exhaust systems, fresh air supply, air conditioning, and mechanical infrastructure solutions, particularly for hotel and restaurant projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate mechanical engineering activities with architectural, interior design, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Experience in mechanical quantity take-offs, cost estimation, technical specifications, budgeting, cost analysis, and tender processes.
• Strong capabilities in managing project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and on-site construction activities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of Revit, BIM, and MS Project is an advantage.
• Familiarity with relevant national and international engineering standards, fire safety regulations, and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with international designers, engineering consultants, and hospitality operators.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑project environment and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

• Manage and coordinate mechanical engineering disciplines throughout the concept, schematic design, design development, and detailed design phases of hotel, restaurant, and retail projects.
• Review mechanical engineering designs to ensure alignment with architectural and interior design concepts.
• Coordinate with international design firms, engineering consultants, and hospitality operators.
• Evaluate contractor proposals from both technical and commercial perspectives.
• Lead Value Engineering initiatives by identifying alternative materials, equipment, and mechanical system solutions.
• Monitor mechanical works to ensure compliance with approved project budgets.
• Coordinate on‑site mechanical works with architectural, interior design, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Identify technical challenges and develop practical, efficient, and timely solutions.
• Manage testing, adjusting, balancing, and commissioning (TAB & Commissioning) activities for all mechanical systems.
• Ensure the completion and submission of as-built drawings, operation and
