Eaton Corporation is seeking an expert design engineer to lead the development of SF6-free Switchgear products. The role involves designing complex multi-link mechanisms, performing transmission efficiency and endurance calculations, material and manufacturing method selections, FEA/MBD analysis, and topology optimization.
You will collaborate with global teams and support IP activities while delivering robust, lifecycle-compliant designs.
The expert design engineer will act as a key developer for the developed SF6-free Switchgear product portfolio, undertaking tasks such as designing complex kinematic mechanisms requiring multi-link power transmission, performing transmission efficiency, speed and endurance calculations, determining related materials and manufacturing methodologies, carrying out topology optimizations, and performing activity matrix design validation activities integrated into the Eaton Prolauch project management system. It also designs lifecycle-compliant, validated products with moldable design outputs for isolative structural and kinamatic subsystems. The expert design engineer will lead patent applications to secure intellectual property rights. Providing 'Technology Readiness Level' outputs. Taking an executive role in strategic studies; Released unique solutions in large-scale production. Following Switchgear industry trends. Meeting robustness and financial targets. Anticipates/delivers customer oriented solutions. Evaluates various aspects of information to draw appropriate conclusions in a timely fashion. Develops and delivers appropriate communications to ensure audience understanding. Operational. Takes responsibility as an executive key developer of R&D Switchgear projects. Conduct boundary conditions and engineering discussions with global teams. Leading complex kinematic multibody dynamic subsystem mechanism designs and capable to calculation. Involving FEA and MBD analysis. Design verification/prototyping/validation type testing/production studies. System efficiency analysis. Carrying out material&manufacturing methodologies selections such as termoset-thermo plastic injection/forged/welded/stamping/machinary/sheet metal etc. Developing/reporting concept designs and applying selection methodologies. Topology optimization studies according to standards/environmental conditions/cost out opportunities with investigating new technologies and lean approaches. Provides design development by researching such as published patent/benchmarking/manufacturing technologies and reviewing specs for local&external regulations. Providing product line support activities to NPI transitions. Defining risks and mitigations on DFMEA &PFMEA activities. Robust thecnical drawing sharings. SCM /Quality/Operation communucation. Defining control plans and quailty outputs. Involvinng multifunctinal local and grobal teams. Results Plays to win and sets ambitious targets; takes risks.
