Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Istanbul is seeking a senior leader to manage daily operations, ensure outstanding guest services, and drive continuous improvement across the hotel.

The role focuses on coaching leaders, executing strategic initiatives, and maintaining high standards in quality, safety, and financial performance. Fluency in English and Turkish is essential; experience with large teams is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of luxury hotel experience in international operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management.
• Excellent communication in English and Turkish (written and spoken).
• Experience managing large teams.
• Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.
• Awareness of global hospitality trends.

Responsibilities

• Manage hotel’s daily operational needs to ensure high-quality guest services, productivity and safety.
• Execute operational and strategic initiatives with feedback and alternatives.
• Develop lower and middle management through coaching and mentoring.
• Stay informed on marketplace trends and competitors.”
• Ensure continuous focus on Quality assessments and support LQE initiatives.
• Oversee Safe & Sound Audit conducted by third parties for MOHG.
• Chair monthly Risk Management Committee meetings ensuring compliance across departments.
• Collaborate with EXCO members and Department Heads in harmony.
• Direct and oversee strategic projects including planning, administration, implementation and evaluation of financial results.
• Lead preventive maintenance programs across hotel areas and energy-saving initiatives.
• Support Finance Director in budgeting and development of Sales & Marketing strategies.
• Translate strategy into operational excellence and tangible results.
• Support HR strategy including recruitment, onboarding and development of colleagues.
