Job summary

LyondellBasell in Turkey seeks a Logistics Operations professional to manage direct and indirect procurement activities, transport, warehousing, and customs under supervision, including payments. You will collaborate with multiple departments and ensure accurate ERP/SAP data.

The role requires 1–3 years in logistics, fluent English and Turkish, and proficiency in SAP and transport software. On-site at our Marmara region facility in Süleymanpaşa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in procurement/logistics is required.
• 1–3 years in procurement, transport & warehousing logistics.
• Fluency in English and Turkish required.

Responsibilities

• Process daily transport orders (Road, Sea, Courier).
• Process direct and indirect procurement orders and customs payments.
• Prepare documents, schedule loading, and monitor transport conditions.
• Coordinate with warehousing, carrier, and customs for import/export.
• Record goods in ERP and maintain master data in SAP.

Position Summary

Person on this position is responsible for executing the overall activities in related with direct and indirect procurement as well as the tasks related to transport, warehousing, customs and customer fulfillment under Logistics Operations Manager supervision including following and executing all related payments.

Responsibilities And Accountabilities

General

• Responsible for daily processing of transport orders—including Road (LTL, PTL, FTL), Sea Freight (FCL), and Courier Service.
• Responsible for daily processing of direct and indirect procurement orders—including following and executing custom clearance payments.
• Issue transport and preparation documents; schedule loading as required, monitor transport conditions and means for assigned orders, resolve discrepancies or issues, and consolidate shipments with attention to cost efficiency and timely order fulfilment.
• Collaborate with logistics service providers concerning warehousing, carrier coordination, and customs agency activities for both import and export operations.
• Manage logistics complaints regarding domestic and international transport for imports and exports
• Obtain necessary documentation for customs clearance, liaise with Customs Brokers, and oversee the process through to completion for all import and export transactions.
• Receive goods into the system upon arrival and confirm issue of goods within the ERP system.
• Engage in routine communication with other departments, including Customer Service, Procurement, Plant Warehouse, and Production.
• Create Service Entry Sheets linked to Purchase Orders for logistics costs, such as transport, customs agent, or related services.
• Handle invoice payments and address any clarifications with Accounts Payable or Logistics Vendors.
• Ensure the accuracy of Master Data in SAP in cooperation with Customer Fulfillment, Supply Chain Services, and Master Data teams.
• Participate in cycle audits at the plant (including 5S, Safety Walks, and EHS aspects).
• Maintain continuous collaboration with the EHS department, promote ongoing improvements, monitor compliance, and support the safety culture of LYB / ASI.
• Prepare, conduct, and reconcile annual inventory, as well as perform daily spot inventory checks.
• Provide coverage for colleagues in the Logistics Department during absences.
• Execute additional assignments from supervisors or management, ensuring all work complies with legal requirements and contractual obligations.

Area of Expertise, Requirements

• Knowledge of International Commerce Terms – INCOTERMS
• SAP knowledge is a must.
• Transport software - Transporeon, UPS Shipexec , ERP - are extra favorable.
• Clear and logical communicator, good listener, fast learner, professional and able to deal with the pressure of time and emotions
• Excellent communication skills to ensure understanding, alignment and synchronization across functional areas of company
• Needs to be flexible and adaptable to work cross functionally and provide support to Supply Chain team members and business partners.

Person Specification

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Procurement and/or Logistics, or a related field is a must.

Work Experience

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Procurement, transport & warehousing logistics.
