Uncosoft has been developing globally played mobile games across the casual, simulation, and puzzle genres since joining Rollic in 2021. The studio's portfolio includes successful titles such as High Heels!, Punch Guys, Power Slap, Repair My Car!, Fashion Squad, Makeover Race, and Merge Hooks. Following the launch of Power Slap—Turkey's first IP-based mobile game—Uncosoft is now focused on its latest puzzle title, Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle, combining satisfying sand physics with strategic, level-based gameplay.
We are looking for a Level Designer to join our team and shape the core gameplay experience of our puzzle games.
What You’ll Do
- Design and produce high-quality levels for block puzzle, conveyor puzzle, mix-and-merge, and similar puzzle game mechanics.
- Generate creative gameplay ideas, level concepts, blockers, and new puzzle mechanics.
- Build and maintain a level pipeline capable of supporting hundreds of levels within the same game.
- Design difficulty curves, progression systems, and level sequences that keep players engaged over time.
- Create new blockers and determine how they interact with existing gameplay mechanics.
- Analyse level performance and player behaviour to identify difficulty spikes, repetitive patterns, and improvement opportunities.
- Iterate on levels based on gameplay data, playtesting, and team feedback.
- Balance creativity, player experience, production speed, and commercial product goals.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, Art teams throughout the design and implementation process.
- Follow the puzzle games market and identify mechanics, trends, and design approaches that can inspire new ideas.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in level design, game design, or product management within the mobile gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of puzzle mechanics, level progression, difficulty balancing, and player motivation.
- The ability to consistently generate original, practical, and engaging gameplay ideas.
- Experience creating a large volume of levels for a single game is highly valuable.
- A strong understanding of how blockers, goals, board layouts, and mechanics interact within a level.
- The ability to assess whether a level is enjoyable, understandable, challenging, and fair.
- A structured and analytical approach to iteration and problem-solving.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A genuine interest in mobile puzzle games and their design principles.
Nice to Have
- Experience with mix-and-merge mechanics.
- Experience working on conveyor-based puzzle systems.
- Experience designing and balancing new blockers.
- Familiarity with level performance metrics and data-driven iteration.
- Experience using internal or third-party level editor tools.
- A portfolio, playable build, or examples of previously designed levels.
