Job summary

AppNation in Turkey is seeking a Legal & Compliance Counsel to help build and scale mobile experiences. You’ll work with Product, Marketing, and other teams to provide practical legal guidance across apps and day-to-day operations, covering app store compliance, IP, and privacy.

You will own end-to-end legal processes, monitor platform policies, advise on AI regulations, coordinate with external lawyers, and ensure timely, compliant execution across product launches and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in technology or digital products.
• Strong knowledge of commercial law, IP, data privacy, consumer protection, and tech regulations.
• Familiarity with App Store/Google Play policies and AI-related rules.
• Ability to manage end-to-end legal processes and drive practical solutions.
• Experience coordinating with external law firms and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal advice to Product, Marketing, and other teams, proactively identifying and mitigating legal risks across mobile apps, product development, creative and commercial initiatives.
• Monitor App Store and other relevant platform policies, identify compliance requirements, and support teams throughout product development, launch, and post-launch operations.
• Advise on intellectual property, including trademark registration, copyright protection, and brand protection.
• Support data privacy and consumer protection compliance, ensuring our products, marketing activities, and internal practices align with applicable laws and regulations.
• Advise on legal and regulatory requirements for AI-powered features, including emerging AI regulations and platform-specific policies.
• Coordinate legal projects with external law firms and counsel, managing communication, timelines, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective execution.
• Own end-to-end legal processes, from research and documentation to implementation and follow-up, while staying current on developments in technology, mobile apps, platform policies, intellectual property, and data privacy.
